RIDERS – DAVID , JOHN LOOP – 57 MILES
AFTER 6 CONSECUTIVE RIDES AT MURPHY WE DECIDED TO MAKE THE DRIVE TO GRAND VIEW. WE STOPPED TO STRETCH ALONG SIMCO ROAD. THE WIND MUST HAVE BEEN BLOWING 30+MPH AND EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CLOSE TO 50F IT FELT COLD. WHEN WE GOT TO MISSILE BASE & OREANA CUT-OFF THERE WAS NO WIND !
THE DOYLE CABIN TRAIL IS A FUN STRETCH. WE RODE IT TWICE !
THE SUMMIT LOOKED CLEAR. WE WERE THE 1ST TRACKS SINCE THE LAST STORM.
WE SAW SEVERAL HERDS OF DEER.
THE BACK SIDE WAS A SLOPPY RUN DOWN, KEPT IT IN 3RD AND JUST ROLLED THRU THE SLICK STUFF.
DECIDED IT WOULDN’T BE THAT MUCH FUN TO RIDE THE MUCK INTO SAVAGE.
HOGPEN WAS A FUN RIDE. THE ROCK SLIDE GOT RE-ARRANGED THIS WINTER.
FLATS IN-BETWEEN THE HILLS AND DESERT FLOOR.
DAVID TANGLED WITH A SAGE BRUSH. CAUGHT BOTH LEGS ON THE HANDLE BARS.
HALFMOON PASS WAS THAWED OUT BUT STILL SLOPPY WITH A COUPLE OF ICE SHEETS TO RIDE OVER,
TOP OF HALFMOON PASS
GREAT VISTA’S. RIGHT BELOW THIS WAS ANOTHER SLOPPY STRETCH THAT WASN’T THAT MUCH FUN.
