LOOP- 63 MILES

ROUTE- SKELETON / LITTLE SKELTON / SKUNK / BEAR CREEK JEEP TRAIL / GOAT LAKE / BEAR CREEK JEEP ROAD/ ROSS FORK JEEP TRAIL /SOUTH FORK ROSS FORK / LITTLE WATER

RIDERS- SCOTT HARRELL (TRAIL BOSS), TIM, STEPHEN, JOHN

WE DIDN’T LEAVE CAMP UNTIL ~1PM SO WE DIDN’T GET BACK UNTIL ~ 8PM.

1ST DIRT BIKE RIDE IN A MONTH. SCOTT HARRELL IS A 17 YR OLD CLASS A ENDURO  RIDER OUT OF WASHINGTON. http://www.nmaoffroad.org/10_enduro_overall_a.html

I MUCH PREFER 50+ YR OLD CHAIN SMOKERS AS TRAIL BOSS. YOU GET MORE FREQUENT & LONGER BREAKS. SCOTT DID KEEP ME ON A 12 MPH PACE ALWAYS TAKING OFF WHEN I REACHED THE INTERSECTIONS.

I STARTED HITTING THE WALL WE WE GOT TO THE ROSS FORK & WILLOW CREEK INTERSECTION ~ THE 50 MILE MARK.

I HIT RESERVE ON GAS ~ 51 MILES.  I DROPPED THE BIKE 2-3 TIMES CLIMBING FROM WILLOW CREEK TO BEAR CREEK ROAD, PROBABLY LOST 5-10 MILES WORTH.

VIEW FROM CONANT TRAIL. CONANT IS A SWEET TRAIL , JUST TOO SHORT.

ON THE BACK HALF OF THE RIDE THE LEFT SIDE OF MY BUTT WAS SORE, MAYBE A PIMPLE ?. jUST MORE ENCOURAGEMENT TO STAY ON THE PEGS. TRIED DOCTORING IT AFTER A SHOWER , BUT IT WAS SURE SORE.

MONDAY MORNING I WAS ABLE TO TAKE A PEEK IN THE MIRROR NEXT TO THE BUNK :-(.

THE SEAM IN MY (UNPADDED) RIDING SKINS MUST HAD RUBBED ME RAW.

HAD A SCAB & LOOKED LIKE I HAD BEEN CANED !

THOUGHT ABOUT A BIG PIECE OF MOLE SKIN SO I COULD RIDE AGAIN BUT DECIDED TO CALL IT QUITS FOR THE WEEK.
