RIDERS – DAVID / TRAIL BOSS, JON / INTERNATIONAL TRAIL RANGER, JOHN /SWEEP
LOOP – 65 MILES , MY AVG SPEED- 15MPH
LONG DRIVE , BUT FUN TRAILS W/O MILES OF BOULDER FIELDS. MIGHT BE WORTH AN OVERNIGHTER TO BREAK UP THE DRIVE.
PARKED AT CHERRY CREEK
JON AT POISON FLATS. NOTICE THE MOUNTAIN BIKERS UNDER THE TREE.
HIGHER DENSITY THE CLOSER WE GOT TO KETCHUM.
TRAIL EQUIPMENT TOP OF WARFIELD. WARFIELD WAS REROUTED AND LOST SOME OF IT CHARM. NOT AS MUCH FUN. ( WHERE IS BARRY ?)
LUNCH AT THE BOTTOM OF WARFIELD.
VIEW ABOVE GREENHORN TRAIL HEAD.
HIKERS FROM TWIN FALLS. THEY WANTED TO KNOW WHERE THEIR KIDS COULD RIDE DIRT BIKES.
WAITING FOR JON TO TURN AROUND ON IMPERIAL GULCH. DAVID REALIZED WE TOOK A WRONG TURN & WERE LOOPING BACK TO THE GREENHORN TRAIL HEAD. AFTER A BIT WE DECIDED TO RIDE DOWN TO FIND JON.
WE MET JON IN THIS THICKET OF ASPENS.
BARRY MADE AN UNANNOUNCED STOP IN FAIRFIELD.
BARRY- “LET ME BE CLEAR, WHILE WE MAY NOT AGREE ON THE LOCATION OF A MOSQUE WE ALL CAN AGREE ON THE WRANGLER , THE SNOW BUNNY IS ALWAYS A WISE CHOICE.”
JON STARTED HIS IRON BUTT TRAINING WITH A “BIG ASS BURGER’ AT THE PIPER SATURDAY NIGHT & A “POWER BURGER” AT THE WRANGLER.
DAVID ENDED UP DRIVING, SO I WAS ABLE TO HAVE TWO BEERS BACK AT THE TRUCK. THEN AT THE WRANGLER I HAD A BACON CHEESE BURGER, FIRES & SMALL SHAKE.
I COULDN’T STAY AWAKE ON THE RIDE HOME !
Looks super nice!! I'm looking forward to getting back to Idaho. What a place!! -Paula
ReplyDeleteJohn,
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! Great ride report.
Have you ever thought about wearing a helmet camera and recording the rides. Something like these perhaps:
