TRAIL BOSS – MURRAY

RIDERS – JOHN , KAT

LOOP ~42 MILES  / AVG SPEED – 15.5 MPH

MURRAY TOOK US ON SOME OF THE IDAHO CITY COURSE. MUCH OF WHAT WE RODE WAS CUT IN THIS YEAR FOR THE RACE. IT RAINED ON SATURDAY SO THE DIRT WAS SUPER, THERE WAS A BIT OF DUST IN THE AFTERNOON. MENTALLY IT WAS TAXING RIDING THROUGH THE WOODS. REALLY HARD TO READ WHERE THE TRAIL WOULD RUN.

WE STOPPED AND REMOVED ARROWS.

MORE FUN THAN A WEINER SHOULD HAVE ! LITTLE SMOKEY CAMPOUT 6/ 4 & 5 / 2011

DAVID AND KAREN DELAYED THEIR MEMORIAL CAMPOUT A WEEK SO I WAS ABLE TO JOIN THEM FOR AT LEAST ONE NIGHT. THEY LEFT TOWN THURSDAY. MY PLAN WAS TO MEET THEM SATURDAY MORNING. DAVE GAVE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET TO “LITTLE SMOKEY” , IF THEY WEREN’T THERE THEY WOULD BE AT CANYON CG ON BIG SMOKEY. FOR SOME REASON I HAD PICTURED “LITTLE SMOKEY” BEING NEAR THE DOLLAR HIDE ROAD INTERSECTION. AFTER A FEW TRIPS DOWN TO THE BIG SMOKEY GUARD STATION AND UP & DOWN DOLLAR HIDE ROAD I FINALLY FOUND THEM JUST BEFORE NOON.
